Monica Lewinsky takes cyber-bully fight to TED

[Monica Lewinsky takes cyber-bully fight to TED by Glenn Chapman Vancouver (AFP)] "Monica Lewinsky on Thursday took her freshly launched fight against cyber-bullying to a premier TED gathering known for attracting Internet titans, celebrities and others influencing modern culture.
She spoke candidly of the humiliation she suffered due to a 1998 sex scandal with then US president Bill Clinton and said her reason for breaking years of silence had nothing to do with politics.

"It is time to stop tip-toeing around my past," Lewinsky said during an on-stage Ted talk during which, at moments, she welled with emotion..." Full text: Monica Lewinsky takes cyber-bully fight to TED Ex 20:14, Lev 20:10

Response to comment [from other]: "It's hard to muster up much sympathy for anyone who pursues and has a relationship with another person's spouse."

You'd have thought she'd learned something by now (Ps 30:20).

She's baaaack--to lecture us (Deut 23:18).

Response to comment [from a Christian]:  "Lots of leftist women consider what Clinton did to her to be unconscionable abuse of power if not a form of rape..."

The hussy is a victim. Isa 5:20, Eccl 10:2, Jn 10:10

Response to comment [from other]: "...While it took two to tango, she had no problem being [the] other woman."

Her mother must be so proud (Lev. 19:29; Deut. 22:21).

Young people who obey the law are wise; those with wild friends bring shame to their parents. Pr 28:7, NLT

Response to comment [from a Christian]: "The other woman? That is funny as it relates to the so-called marriage that Bill & Hilly supposedly have...I think it is more of a business arrangement, and Bill's extra-marital sexual proclivities seem to be part of the package, to call what those two have a marriage is a joke & a sham."

Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the marriage bed be undefiled, for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterous (Heb 13:4).

Response to comment [from a Christian]: "[Jezebel] "Think about it: where would this woman be if she hadn't picked the right husband?"

Wicked Presidents

Response to comment [from a Christian]: "And of course as Christians, we can never, ever, ever, under any circumstances, forgive or forget the sins of others! And especially if they are sins of a sexual nature! Because as Christians, we are, of course, immune to such sins, ourselves. Because we are forgiven in advance of even committing them! Too bad, so sad, for everyone else, though! Off to hell they all go! And we say good riddance! This message brought to you by Committee for Unquestioned Self-Righteousness and the First-Pew-Sitters Of The First Order of the Mighty Superior Christians League."

Forgiveness comes after repentance. God does not forgive men of their sins prior to their repentance before him (Mk 1:4).

If your brother sins, rebuke him, and if he repents forgive him. Lk 17:3

Response to comment [from a Christian]: "Power is attractive."

Character is more attractive to people of character.

See:

The Character of God's People vs. the Character of the Wicked

Response to comment [from a Christian]: "It was obviously consensual. That doesn't take away from the fact that the U.S. President has enormous power. Power is attractive."

Commitment and honor is more attractive (Ac 17:11, Ro 9:21, Phil 4:8, 1 Ti 6:12, Heb 1:4, 2 Pe 1:5, Ps 16:3, 6, Ps 45:1, Pr 8:6, Isa 32:5, 8, Pr 31:10, 25, 29).

Consensual sin is sin (1 Co 6:9-10). Love not lust your neighbor (Lev 19:18, Mk 12:31, Gal. 5:14; Jas 2:8).

Response to comment [from a Christian]:  [If your brother sins, rebuke him, and if he repents forgive him. Lk 17:3] "So everyone on the planet must repent to you, personally, or you can't forgive them?"

Strawman Eph 4:14

"What about that thing about your being forgiven as you forgive others?  Sounds to me like you aren't going to be receiving much forgiveness."

Strawman

"It also sounds like we are supposed to be repenting to God, with our hearts, not to you, with our mouths."

Strawman

"I think you may want to read that Bible a little more carefully, and humbly, lest you find yourself condemned as you are so quick to condemn others."

If your brother sins, rebuke him, and if he repents forgive him. Lk 17:3

Does Monica still have the hots for Bill?

No indication that she’s repented (Eph. 2:3, Rom. 1:24–32). :idunno:

#MeToo Update: Lewinsky says Clinton relationship ‘abuse of power’

Reply to Deplorable Me @Deplorme

It was abuse of power…

She willingly committed adultery (Ex 20:14).  She should be dead (Lev. 20:10–12) and she’s still complaining?

…coupled with female stupidity.

Stupidity :idunno: evil (Ex 20:14)

A deadly combination.

Got that right (Prov. 2:16–19). :burnlib:

[Abuse of Power] From the files of "no sh*t," but at least she finally said it.

She’s not the victim.  She’s the criminal (Ex 20:14).
