Darwin’s Monkey Theory

[The Weeknd dumps H&M after monkey sweatshirt ad | seattletimes.com | New York | AP] “Singer The Weeknd said Monday that he will no longer work with H&M after the clothing company posted an ad of a black child in a sweatshirt with the words “Coolest monkey in the jungle” on the front.

Many people criticized the image on social media, calling it racist. H&M removed the image Monday and apologized to anyone it “may have offended.”

The Weeknd, who has a clothing line at the retailer, said on Twitter that he was “shocked and embarrassed” by the photo.

“I’m deeply offended and will not be working with @hm anymore,” he wrote.

Representatives for The Weeknd confirmed the singer would end ties with the company.

In a statement, H&M said, “We completely understand and agree with his reaction to the image.”…” Full text:  The Weeknd dumps H&M after monkey sweatshirt ad

[Do you believe that men came from monkeys and some monkeys are more special than other monkeys?] Your lack of relevant knowledge is handicapping you.

Is the t-shirt offensive? Eccl 10:2, Jn 10:10. When you see the young black male, do you think of him with a banana in his hand hang from a tree? :Shimei: Do you think white men can't jump because they descended along a different, more special line of monkeys? :freak: What about Asians. Were those monkeys over there crunching the numbers early on? :idunno:

So essentially the real problem is the choice of a black model...

I can’t keep up with their racist train of thought (Ac 17:26).  :hammer:I don’t happen to think that little black boys came from monkeys.  I think God made man (Gen. 1:26, 27) and he made monkeys (Ge 1:24-25). :Plain:

There was no Adam and Eve. It's a fairy tale only the most gullible cult members believe literally.

...Not sure why you are throwing out such racist thoughts.

 You’re projecting again (Eph 4:14). :noway:

The shirt is not offensive unless you believe the child came from a monkey (Ac 17:26). :hammer:

[S]o you don't know what a catarrhine primate is…

 Eph 4:14

Say it: I believe the child came from a monkey :dizzy: and can therefor see why my like-minded Darwin monkey thinking friends :sozo2: would find it offensive (Eccl 10:2, Jn 10:10). :o

No Christian would find the shirt offensive. :hammer: We believe the child was made in God’s image (Gen. 9:6). We wouldn’t use Darwin’s theory (not fact) to enslave him (Ex. 21:16). :Plain:

[Bob Enyart] ...I thought he was just another religious fanatic and convicted child-abuser.

You are overthinking this shirt…

 It’s cute.  No reason to become offended.  :idunno: The child did not descend from a monkey. :dizzy:

Update:  An article regarding the mom’s view on the matter states:  "…[S]he [the mom] didn't understand the outrage that consumed the internet on Monday…” link

Only a Darwin influenced mind (Eccl 10:2, Jn 10:10) :hammer:would look at the child and think of a monkey.

Is there a point to this OP?

To demonstrate the absurdity of your monkey theory (Eph 5:11).  If you’d like to believe this 150 year old science, knock yourself out. :dizzy:
