Sacred Name Movement

Do you use Hebrew names when referring to the Father, Son or Spirit?

[Using Hebrew names, vid deleted and remade]

You’re right.  You serve an audience of one and it’s not Horvath (who stated:  “I was married for five years…We had Michelle…I left...” by the way [Eph. 5:25–33]).  He’s not in a position to pass judgment on you (Ro 14:4, Ps 105:15).

If you like to use Hebrew words (it’s an ugly language) so be it.  My pastor defines legalism as:  when your preference becomes my obligation.

Love trumps language.  Paul said that he was all things to all men (1 Co 9:22).  You care more about saving souls than hacking up a Hebrew word (9:22b–23).  How can that be a bad thing?

If people don’t know what the heck you’re saying, then I think you’re right to step back and return to our language. :Plain: Your viewers spoke.  You responded—that’s called being a good teacher (Jn 10:27).

One day we’ll know all languages and a heavenly language; but, that time is not now.

… Stand strong my brother. Jesus wins in the end…

Yes.  We are free to:  consume certain food or drink or refrain from consuming certain food or drink, celebrate a festival or not celebrate a festival, speak in Hebrew or not speak in Hebrew (Col 2:16).  Standing in freedom (Ga 5:1) is more important than aiming to please man (Ga 1:10).

I will be praying for all of the watchmen.

If you call Jesus by Jesus and not Yeshua, he knows who you mean.  :hammer:

Reply to Horvath

Horvath Claim:  His lips are clean because he uses God’s proper language.

False (2 Pe 2:1).  His lips are as unclean today as they were yesterday and as they will be tomorrow.  He has no righteousness of his own.  If saved, his righteousness is imputed (1 Cor. 1:30). :dizzy:

We don’t go to heaven or hell because we use or fail to use Hebrew names.  We go to heaven or hell based on a right relationship with Jesus Christ. Heb. 13:9

My sheep…

He has no sheep.  Sheep (his word) belong to the Father:  Feed my sheep (Jn 21:17) not feed Horvath’s sheep. :hammer:

You think he doesn’t know who despises his name?

 Guilt by association (Eph 4:14).

Serpent Dove Amen Amen Truth. If I was younger and didn't believe, telling me I would go to hell because of a name I would walk away.

This movement is similar to tongues speakers who claim that if you don’t also speak in tongues, :p you’re somehow inferior (2 Pe 2:1, 1 Cor. 14:22–26).  Paul reminds us that love is superior (Heb. 13:9, 1 Cor. 13:1–13).

I would rather save one soul for Jesus than lose ten because of a name.

:thumb: Yes, and if we bicker over whose name is better than we may win the battle but we lose the war (1 Cor. 3:3, Jas 4:1, 2).  :reals:

I am just speechless that you call Father's chosen language ugly!

I vote we speak French in all eternity--much prettier. :french:

No I speak English, and God's Son in English is Jesus…

:thumb: Me too.

…[I]f it makes you feel "holier"…fine.

Not fine.  We have no holiness of our own.  Nothing good in Serpent Dove.  :skeptic: Everything good in Jesus :straight:(Yeshua if you have to be a freak about it :freak:).  Ro 7:18

Some people think that Paul in Romans 7 is speaking about himself before salvation.  He is not.  He is speaking about already saved Paul who still struggles in the flesh.  Until we leave these meatbags and enter into our glorified bodies, we struggle.

[Paul] understands the daily struggle within him.

         a.      The old nature, always attempting to do wrong (7:21a, 23)

         b.      The new nature, always attempting to do right (7:21b–22) Willmington, H. L. (1999). The Outline Bible (Ro 7:21–22). Wheaton, IL: Tyndale House Publishers.

Jesus and I know who you're talking about, and God knows your heart and your motivations.

Right.  If you’re sinking in the water like Peter (Mt 14:30), you cry out in a name which is familiar (1 Co 2:1).

There’s no oneness.

"Better to be divided by truth than united in error." ~ Adrian Rogers Eph 5:11

…of the lip.  There’s no purity of lip.

Again with the lip.  Yeah, well, you better tuck that in. Gonna get that caught on a trip wire.

Didn’t Isaiah educate you to the fact that you are a man of unclean lips?  Is 6:5  You are not pure (1 Tim 3:9).  Using Hebrew words does not make you pure (Heb. 13:9).  The Lord is pure (1 John 3:3).  He’s going to make a place for us where we, too will be glorified and pure (Rev. 21:18, 21).

What I see—Satan is involved.

Why are you blaming Satan?  This is all you (2 Pe 2:1).

He hates the Father’s language.

He loves you causing people to believe that they are somehow lesser Christians because they use English (2 Pet. 3:16).

If they look at the Father’s language, they’ll see what the Father said--that messes up Satan’s confusing people.

That’s what interlinear searches are for.  Maskey read his audience who were becoming confused when he used English rather than Hebrew.  He adjusted.  You then withdrew his invitation for the next get together because he didn’t balance a ball on his nose like seal for you.

He doesn’t serve you.  He serves Christ.

How are you different from Catholics who began to preach their mass deception in Latin?  No one knew what they were saying and that was the way they wanted it.

Continue to distract others with your insistence that they speak Hebrew—you just might find yourself still here :rapture: after the rapture (Re 3:2).

Jesus loves you (Jn 3:16). Jesus is willing to save you (2 Pe 3:9). Repent (Eze 18:30-32; Ac 17:30). Believe (Mk 9:23).

He believed your friend Alan Horvath (2 Pe 2:1).  He no longer does (Jn 8:32).

By willingly deciding to follow along; I believe, we can also conclude that a claim to have been forced is highly unlikely…

 Have you ever believed a false thing?  Many who have come to faith in Jesus (yes, it’s ok to say Jesus—he knows whom you’re addressing [Heb. 13:9] ) come out of cults and ‘isms.  Maskey escaped out of Horvath’s teachings (2 Pe 2:1).  Your horns are showing to pig pile on him now (Mt 12:30, 16:23).  :reals: Is it so important to you that he use Hebrew words that you are willing to discontinue fellowship? :dizzy: This is your hill to die on? :hammer:

Horvath was upset that Maskey, his young Padawan learner, was invited onto a program—and did not do what he had expected him to do. :sozo2: His ego was bruised (Ps. 73:6, 2 Tim. 3:2). Suck it up buttercup.

That watchmen must divulge the name…

Why don’t you divulge the name?  :dizzy: You know damn well who the wizard, hippie is. :zman: Apparently you see no danger in the sacred name movement (2 Pe 2:1). :idunno:

[John the Baptist and trouble would follow]

 What more do you want from Maskey?  He opened up about his being from New York.  He’s got that accent to deal with and on top of that you all want him to add Hebrew?  :hammer:

You have blessed me again with your faithful observation of the times and the people.

You rebuke someone when they're doing the wrong thing--not the right thing (Eph 5:11).

Serpent Dove - Please be so kind as to show when I have ever endorsed Christopher Maskey in one of my messages…

 Strawman (Eph 4:14).

Do you support the sacred name movement?  You claim to be a watchmen.  Watchmen warn others; yet, you did not warn us about the sacred name movement.  Rather, you warned us about a man coming out of the false teaching who graciously providing a cautionary tale for others (Eph 5:11).

You spent 6 minutes in  ad hominem attacks against Maskey.  What is your view on the false doctrine? Heb 13:9
