Identity vs. Behavior

1stthings1st View Post ...[A] believer's identity (i.e. who they are in Christ, redeemed, sanctified, washed, indwelt, righteous, regenerated, etc., ) is not the same thing as their behavior.
Your life is your testimony. If one is a devil, eventually his horns show (Jn 3:19).

You thought someone else's behavior was your behavior? :squint: Pr 23:7

I'm asking you whether or not you make a distinction between a believer's identity, and their behavior.

If I murder, what does that make me? If I commit adultery, what does that make me? If I steal, what does that make me? If I lie, what does that make me? 1 Co 6:9-10

"For some people the only bible they'll ever read is your life." 2 Sa 12:14 ~ Gino Geraci

[If I murder, what does that make me? If I commit adultery, what does that make me? If I steal, what does that make me? If I lie, what does that make me? 1 Co 6:9-10] None of those things make you anything at all.

If you murder, you are a murder. If you commit adultery, you are an adulterer. If you steal, you are a thief. If you lie, you are a liar. If you do all of these things you are a murdering, adulterous, thieving liar--and someone in need of a savior (1 Co 6:9-10).

Okay, so three questions for you then...

Do you acknowledge that one who: murders, commits adultery, steals and lies is a: murdering, adulterous, thieving liar? 1 Co 6:9-10.

So if I sin...

It's a yes or no question. :chz4brnz: Are you a: murdering, adulterous, thieving liar? :juggle: 1 Co 6:9-10

No.

Were you ever a: murdering, adulterous, thieving liar? 1 Co 6:9-10

Are you ever going to answer any of the questions I've asked you...?

It's a yes or no question. :chz4brnz:Jesus came to save sinners (Mt 9:10-13).

Everything about a Christian’s life must come into harmony with the mind of Christ and the actions of Christ. No pretenders are allowed in heaven.
