Appellations of honor are condemned by Christ (Matt. 23:1–10).  Peter considered himself a "fellow elder" (1 Pe 5:1). 

Paul healed a crippled man and people praised him as a "chief speaker" (Ac 14:12).  How did Paul and Barnabas react?
